Come celebrate 20th Century Fox’s 75th Anniversary at the Colonial Theatre with a special screening of Night Shyamalan’s The Happening starring Mark Wahlberg on Saturday Sept 4 at 7:30PM. Filmed locally, the theatre’s presentation includes special guests such as the owners of the G Lodge, which was a location in the film.

This week is our final in the Festival Classic series with Wattstax, Sunday Aug 29 at 2PM. Come and enjoy some great music and entertainment!

2010 marks the centennial birthday of Akira Kurosawa and The Colonial Theatre will celebrate it in September with an entire month of Sunday Classic double features. We begin on Sept 5 with Stray Dog at 2PM and Rashomon at 4:30PM.

A reminder to cult fans: Rocky Horror Picture Show tickets are on sale. Get your tickets for the October 16th show now.

The Asian Horror Fest is coming next week! Join us September 4 for three very different films that range from classic monster mayhem, to genre pastiche, to unrelenting gore. We’re thinking of it as a bento box of Asian (and Asian-inspired) cinema. Tickets on sale now.

Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the theatre!
