We’ve got quite a full schedule of events this week, so read on!

We are carrying over our feature film this week: The Descendants. Friday night we follow the feature with our Fright Night film, My Bloody Valentine at 10PM.

Saturday at 2PM our kids’ event will be Two of a Kind and the Give ‘Em a Hand Band. Want to see what they are like? What this great video featurette about the band.

Saturday night at 8PM WXPN welcomes Marc Broussard! Tickets are really going fast so be sure to buy yours soon online, at the box office, or over the phone.

Feb 5 is the first Sunday of the month, and that means Tour Time! Join us Sunday at 1PM for a fun tour of the theatre and follow it at 2PM with a great viewing of the classic film Camille. Make sure you RSVP (610-917-1228) by Saturday at 5PM.

Sunday at 2PM our February classic series showcases films whose female lead character’s name is also the title of the film. Each actress playing those roles was also nominated for, or won, an Oscar. This week we begin with Camille, starring Greta Garbo, Robert Taylor and Lionel Barrymore.

Our documentaries this month are all by award winning documentarian Errol Morris. We begin this Sunday at 4:30 with The Thin Blue Line. This is a fascinating study of convicted murderer Randall Adams – and the very strong possibility of his innocence.

Glenn Hough returns for an afternoon of music and merriment on Sunday, Mar 25 at 3PM for the Spring Pipe Organ Concert. Join us and enjoy Glenn’s special brand of musical interpretations and humor, and to hear what our Wurlitzer sounds like now.

Sunday at 2PM we conclude the “Man With No Name” classic film series with The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Our new feature film this week is the animated Hugo starring Asa Butterfield, Chloë Grace Moretz and Ben Kingsley. It is the tale of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. Please note that Friday’s opening night screening is at 7PM (rather than the usual 7:30). Tonight is your last chance to see Melancholia at 7:30.

Friday night after our feature we present the cult classic The Big Lebowski. Directed by the Coen brothers, it stars Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi, Philip Seymour Hoffman, John Turturro and even Flea (of the Red Hot Chili Peppers)! The theater will be totally Lebowski-ized with white russians being served (limit one per person), custom show posters for sale by local artist Chris Garofalo, a costume contest and The Thrifty Discount DJs providing “Dude-approved” music starting at 9:30PM. Film starts at 10PM and is sponsored by Valor Men’s Grooming Lounge, Salon Fiber and Grace Tattoo.

Saturday’s kids’ program at 2PM is musician Randy Kaplan. Known for great music for both kids and their parents, Randy performs covers and originals and is sure to be a treat!

Sunday at 2PM we continue the “Man With No Name” classic series with Clint Eastwood in For a Few Dollars More. We follow at 4:30 with the documentary The Interrupters. By the creator of Hoop Dreams, it follows a Chicago-based group called CeaseFire, and their mission to stop violence.

The kids (AND adults) will enjoy our Shorts for Kids this Saturday at 2PM. Sunday we’ve got a full day of entertainment for you! It starts at 2PM with the great Clint Eastwood in the first of our “Man With No Name” classic series: A Fistful of Dollars. We follow at 4:30 with the return of the documentaries in 2012 with Hell and Back Again.

Academy Award season is approaching fast! That means the return of our 8th Annual Members’ Oscar Party on Feb 26. There are a few VERY important changes this year: the pre-show party in the lobby will be limited to the first 150 RSVPs and will begin at 7PM. The remaining members are invited to join us at 8:30PM. Be sure to go to the Oscar Party page on the website for those and other changes and we’ll see you at the Oscars!

Since there are no screenings Christmas Eve, we are moving our Children’s movie to Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. Bring the whole family to see The Polar Express starring the voice of Tom Hanks.

Ready to get in the holiday spirit? Come to the Holiday Pipe Organ Concert Sunday at 3PM. It will open with silent film shorts featuring Charlie Chaplin, Fatty Arbuckle and Buster Keaton. They will be followed with holiday pipe organ music. This program benefits the Theatre Organ Society of the Delaware Valley (TOSDV) Theatre Pipe Organ Restoration Fund. Bring the whole family!
